This groundbreaking eight-hour training course gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary. Fiscal policy decisions are central to understanding United States History and US government economic decisions. This workshop provides history and government teachers with lessons on topics such as medicare, social security, national defense, Andrew Jackson and the Second National Bank, and the creation of public policy. Participants will receive either 5 lesson plans for the history classroom or 5 lesson plans for the government classroom. No registration fee, substitute teacher reimbursement, and lunch provided.
