NGRESA Awarded Grants for Endorsements and GaTAPP
NGRESA has been awarded three grants totaling $732,845 dollars from the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) for Teacher and Leader Support and Development over the next two years. The GaDOE Teacher and Leader Support and Development Grants will support Georgia educator recruitment initiatives for endorsements and GaTAPP across the state. At NGRESA, the grants will fund for eligible candidates the cost of tuition for offered endorsements, as well as book vouchers. For GaTAPP, partial tuition scholarships will be funded for eligible candidates.
Grants awarded include the Georgia Teacher Endorsement Grant, the Georgia Teacher Leader Endorsement Grant, and the GaTAPP Grant.
Eligible endorsements offered for FY23 include the following: Coaching Endorsement, Dyslexia Endorsement, ESOL Endorsement, Gifted Endorsement, Online Teaching Endorsement, and Reading Endorsement. Candidates committed to completing these endorsements to enhance their teaching expertise are encouraged to register. Priority enrollment and grant awards will be given to applicants from NGRESA partner districts: Cherokee, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield. Those outside NGRESA should check with their RESA for availability of funds. Enrollment for NGRESA GaTAPP is on-going, and those potential candidates hired by partner districts who need to complete this program should apply. Please visit our website for more information: https://www.ngresa.org/index.php/professional-learning/gatapp

What Does Crucial Conversations Training Teach?
Crucial Conversations teaches participants how to:
• Speak persuasively, not abrasively
• Foster teamwork and better decision making
• Build acceptance rather than resistance
• Resolve individual and group disagreements
What Is a Crucial Conversation?
A crucial conversation is a discussion between two or more people where the stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. These conversations—when handled poorly or ignored—lead to strained relationships and dismal results.
Who Needs Crucial Conversations Training?
Does your organization suffer from taboo topics, deference, disagreement, analysis paralysis, information hoarding, office politics, or alienation? Is your organization battling declining productivity, safety violations, low morale, reduced quality, poor customer satisfaction, or other bottom-line concerns?
