Course Description: Calling all Academic Coaches and Instructional Lead Strategists! Are you interested in partnering with other coaches to discuss roles, successes, challenges, planning, and more? We are excited to offer our first Coaches' Collaborative to provide coaches a unique opportunity to talk about coaching practices, beliefs, roles, and responsibilities. During the first part of the session, Academic Coaches/ILS will have the opportunity to collaborate on current initiatives being implemented within schools. Coaches will also engage in sharing ideas and discussing successful coaching strategies that have influenced teacher efficacy and student achievement. In the second part of the day, we will review and discuss roles and types of coaching discussed in the book, Coaching Matters. Coaches/ILS will reflect on coaching practices to determine which role and type of coaching they are currently performing. Coaches/ILS will have the opportunity to reflect on coaching research, your beliefs about coaching, and your practices as a coach. We look forward to having you join us at North Georgia RESA for our first Coaches' Collaborative, where the focus is on you - your needs, your successes, and your growth.
