The North Georgia RESA School Improvement Department supports improved school effectiveness and student achievement in schools within the Cherokee, Dalton City, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield County school systems. School Improvement services include analysis of school effectiveness, data analysis, school improvement planning, and assistance with identified needs in consultation and training. Our department coordinates RESA services with the Georgia Department of Education in providing information, training, and assistance necessary for compliance with state and federal regulations. It is our goal to assist schools and districts in making adequate yearly progress as defined and required by the federal No Child Left Behind legislation.
